Optometrist

Dr. Ian Campbell grew up in Stettler, Alberta. He attended the University of Calgary and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science in 2007. He then moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he earned a degree of Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2011.

During his four years at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Campbell competed 5 internships across the globe with different types of Optometry clinics. He attended a general studies internship with Dr. Dana Reynolds in Edmonton at The Bay Optometry. He completed a rotation at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia with a focus on pediatrics and vision therapy. He attended the VA hospital in Columbia, South Carolina with a focus on ocular disease. He travelled to ermany for an internship on a U.S. army base with a special interest in refractive surgery. He then returned to Canada for a specialty contact lens fitting internship in Oakville, Ontario.

Dr. Campbell is passionate about eye care and loves to explain ocular health conditions to his patients along with new technology that Premier Eye Care is implementing for ocular health treatments and monitoring. He is always researching new techniques to assist his Calgary patients with the challenges of our dry climate, unique contact lens needs, or slowing myopia progression in his pediatric patients.

Dr. Campbell is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, Alberta Association of Optometrists, and the Calgary Society of Optometrists. Dr. Campbell enjoys travelling and is a self described “foodie”. He loves biking and camping with his wife and kids.
